I found this article online about cognitive bias and thought it was a really important read since it is extremely relevant to how we approach our daily lives and thinking processes.

We are all guilty of one or more of the biases on this list. However, I think it says a lot that about human achievement that we have been able to find ways to get around or minimize the impact of these biases on our understanding of how the world really works. This is one of the great things about the scientific method, for instance. It relies on experimental observation rather than anecdotal evidence to deduce how things operate in the real world. Biases can still occur in science, but that is why the peer review process is in place. Regardless, if science has progressed it is by being able to challenge our cognitive biases. In other words our "common sense" notion of the world.

It's a worthwhile read.
