This depiction of the birth of Christ is well done. The color is quite stunning. The picture seems a bit compressed though. Perhaps this was the intent, to convey a sense of "crowding" because the birth of Christ attracts attention. In that is the case, then than it works well. The donkey is also a bit difficult to see against the background, but this doesn't necessarily take away from what is otherwise a nice composition.
One issue I have with this depiction, which has less to do specifically with your drawing technique, but with depictions of Christ and biblical figures in the west generally, is the tendency to depict these figures as "white." Jesus and his family, as well as his followers, all lived in the middle east. They would not have been white. These kinds of depiction are not only a-historical, but also contribute to a lack of understanding of the cultural and geo-political context under which the bible was written.
I only mention this last point because the idea of Jesus and other biblical figures being white is so ingrained in western society that we take the idea for granted and it never occurs to use that maybe that depiction is wrong.
